Elissa and my wife fly out tomorrow on 1 way tickets to stay at Duke Medical Center until getting a lung transplant or the new medication (triple-combination modulator elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor (Trikafta™) kicks in. We are planning a 6 month all inclusive stay in North Carolina. I will get to drive it a few days after they get settled in and will bring a boat load of things they couldn't fly with.
This has been a 2 year process to get us scheduled for Duke. I kinda have feelings I can't describe.
Our house is full of her friends tonight and we are happy to have a packed house.
