I don’t think it matters either way. My Wevo is currently bolted down without carpet in between, but it’s mainly because my carpet is hella old and will be replaced this year. When I replace the carpet, the Wevo will be bolted down on top of the carpet. That’s the way plenty of folks do it and I’ve never heard of an issue.
