I have never looked into those as an option for us. The water would HAVE to be heated up around here. In Oklahoma almost all the drinking water is from man made lakes. After a few days of cold weather the water flowing out of the faucet can be 40 degrees. I sure would not want that sprayed on my body.
I also wonder, how do you dry off? Toilet paper tends to almost dissolve (as it is designed to) with water. Paper towels would be sorta rough, and you really should not flush paper towels. I will admit to massive ignorance on the entire subject of bidets.
In the end, for our needs we just will do what we have done all of our lives, and have no real issues.
