R12 to R134a, Why?
I also have a 1984 944 NA, still running perfectly on R-12. Way cooler than the wife's RAV4 that runs on 134a. Why in the world do you want to change a great set up to a mediocre at best set up? R-12 cools much much better than 134a, it is perfectly legal on our cars and it is less prone to leaks having larger molecules. Just check your system for leaks, usually dried up o rings, you will do that for 134a anyway and pick up 3 cans of R-12 on evilbay for about $70 and you will be happy and save money too. I did mine more than 8 years ago and still cools perfectly with no leaks. Just my 2 cents of thought.
