I would suggest pulling the pads and calipers off first. Use some wire to hang them from the strut so you don't bent the brake tubing.
I've not had problems getting the rotors off of the front hubs with then still on the car. Still this is a good time to inspect and repack the front bearings if you haven't done it recently.
