I love the idea of owning a plane but my finances do not. Kids college is more important so maybe down the road...

I flight instructed and flew commercially years ago. I’ve done very little flying since. I do miss it; I love aviation and always will but it’s ultimately a rich guy’s game. The only real way to do it is on someone else’s dime (unless you enjoy lighting $100 bills on fire for fun or have extraordinarily deep pockets).

Annuals are painful... an AD could pop up at any time (or never) and be anywhere from minor to tens of thousands of dollars. Most people get lucky, some don’t.

Make sure you get ADSB compliant. That’s at least a few grand if it’s not already addressed on top of everything else.
