If you can't afford, or don't want spend the 8K, no choice. Regardless, I think the dumpster diving is pretty cool, as it will be really interesting to see what he comes up with. My brother pieced together his conversion from CIS to EFI on his 930, and looks to be working out, as he was on a budget as well. Maybe he will chime in....
