I purchased a rebuilt waterpump that came with the thermostat installed from those "V" guys in Miami.

Do you have any leaking at the oil pan? if yes add that to the list. If you are taking the machine down and gonna get dirty anyway might as well do it at the same time and check the motor mounts while under there.
