Before I call a glas shop here in Sweden and make a fool out of me, maybe I can get an answer here (And make a less ass out of me

My front Windshield is quite scratchy which makes it hard to see something when the sun is low. Replacing it costs a fortune if it isnt broken (No, I will not put a hammer on it).
Does any one know if some one can referbish a Windchield, by maybe polishing it/grinding it. Of course by proos. But does there exist something like this?
