Yea, but alcohol was illegal in Oklahoma. The bootleggers were busy. My dad even talked about calling a phone number and ordering what he wanted, and it was delivered to his door in short order. Lots of speakeasys everywhere. Finally the new Oklahoma County Sheriff was elected, and he enforced the law, and arrested many judges, and rich and powerful people. That prompted to the legislature to change the constitution to allow booze. Still very restricted, and lots of corruption in the booze business.
Liquor by the drink was the next big thing. Approved by the voters in 1984. Just in 2018 they finally got rid of 3.2 beer and allowed beer and wine sales in convenience stores and grocery stores.
