Actually, the 914 used a pair of single-throat Solex 40 PSDIT carbs. I'm not certain what the PII-40 carbs are, but they might have come on the early (pre-injection) 411. I think the carb'ed Buses used Solex 36es, not 40s.

Or maybe they're aftermarket, but with nicely-made parts.
