Well, having had family friends and from an early age, my own friends, in Law Enforcement.
One common denominator was “Never, ever point anything that could be MISTAKEN for a gun”.
Most people consider that common sense, and when the dem funded domestic terrorist decided to come to the North Florida area to protest about criminals dying while committing crimes, the local sheriff at the time said that if the domestic terrorist starting rioting and destroying private property in our community, he would deputize all legal gun owners to defend the community.
I have a relative who is a former Judge in Duval County Judge, who was forced out because he pulled out his gun, when the electricity went out in his court room had it pointed at the criminal when the lights came on, ( his father is the judge who threatened to arrest Elvis Presley when he did his 1st performance in Jacksonville in the 50s, if he gyrated his hips) and he doesn’t have any issues with legal gun owners and not only is he aways armed (even at the last family funeral, where he instructed me to pick up a shovel as we bury our own) but his Mother was also always packing) so not all law enforcement and judges are against 2nd amendment rights.
Without knowing the details of the incident that Speeder is talking about here, or seeing the video, I can’t make an informed decision on this incident.
A sad situation for Speeders friends, hopefully the cop cam will clear up what happened and if the police are at fault, justice is served, but if not, hopefully common sense will prevail and the charges against his friends wife will be dismissed. Clearly she wasn’t actually threatening the officer, intentionally, but they didn’t know that ( most likely)
