Another clutch pedal goes to the floor thread...

I've searched the archives, and read most of the threads on this topic, but I couldn't find any that match my problem.

While driving in third gear, I go to shift into second gear and the clutch pedal drops to the floor. I heard no grinding sounds or any pops. I limp the car back home, and proceed to check the usual culprits.

Roll pin is fine, clevis and pin are fine, the cable is still connected at the tranny, and the omega spring looks good. The tolerances are fine, it just apears to be no tension being applied to the cable.

The clutch along with all the other components is only 3,000 miles old, the clutch cable and helper spring 3,500 miles old. I'm out of time and have to head back to work soon, so I won't be able to do anymore untill at least Friday. Any suggestions?
