If at all possible.
USE THE 928 SLEEVE SOLUTION
Removing the steering column is not a fun job. It sucks. I've done it twice, so I consider myself an expert.

And don't let someone tell you that you can tap another bearing on top of the old one. It doesn't work.

The silly plastic insert just pops right out with little effort, and this is why using the 928 sleeve is such a piece of cake.
