79SC with 140K miles. Engine pulled for some R&R. When I talked to an experienced porsche mechanic he responded to my question about where to send the distributor with a "don't bother, nothing in it anyway."
Is this true? If not, who overhauls the things and what would I expect to pay and what will I gain?
