My 924S has 112k miles on it and has never been rebuilt. I plan to rebuild it and do a few performance mods on it while I have it out this summer. BTW I will have a budget of around 2200-2500 I have a few questions though:

1. Having never rebuilt an engine before, how hard should it be? I have a garage with a lot of space and most of the tools...also I have my 50 yr old father and can consult my 80 yr old grandfather on the phone (he was an auto mechanic his whole life)?

2. Are there any performance upgrades I could afford while rebuilding my motor?

3. I am also going to do the water pump/belt kit mainatanance while I am in there...it only has 1 yr left until it is needed again. Is this a good idea, or should I wait?
