I have just purchased an automatic 1983 928. After a decent search driving cars with only 2nd gear, didn't start, etc.....I finally found a decent car for under 5k.
This is my first experience with a 928, my other Porsche was a 73 914. So, I am sure I will be coming here over the months for the answer to numerous questions.
My first question...since the car has no owners manual, I have been pushing a pulling buttons and knobs to see what they do. I have them all except one...the knob on the floor next to the drivers seat. It looks like it is something for the lights but I cannot tell what it does. Can someone help me out?
Also, anyone know where I can get an owners manual without spending $80. I looked on ebay to no avail.
Is there a major difference between the 83 and 84 model. There is an 84 owner's manual on ebay I can get.
The second question, I am almost embarrassed to ask. How do I get the back seats up? I have looked and looked and didn't really pay attention when the seller showed me.
