go out and drive the car to seat the pads against the rotors. Fresh pads on rotors will give you a spongy feeling until they conform to the shape of the rotors. I usually do a 20 mile loop which includes lots of braking and near the end I do a couple high speed threshold braking stops just to make sure.
bleed the system just to be sure. In autocross, they require a brake bleed before each event.
