My top is in really good shape, but the window has torn along the edge of the cloth top, so it needs to be replaced. The local "reputable" shop quoted me...$600 DOLLARS! Can you believe that?

So... I saw one internet top distributor where I could buy the whole rear section of the top in german canvas with the window included for less than half that. Not sure how difficult that job would be for me to perform myself, but I might be willing to take it on rather than having the local shop rape me.

Suggestions?
its not a DIY job.

also bear in mine, the top looks good, must function smoothly and must be waterproof, there are also specialist tools and materials that need to be used.

I also assume that a g'tee is avaialble with the other job
