In one case I sent two letters on the same day. One arrived in 3 days, the other took 3 weeks. The letters were to two different friends at the same college in LA, the mailboxes were three feet from each other in the college's mail room.
In another case I sent a cashier's check for payment for a 924S speedometer to Cali with delivery confirmation and priority mail. It took 3.5 weeks from mailing (and yes, the guy on the other end confirmed that it had been postmarked on the date I mailed it).
So that's another thing that could be happening, and if he's on business and not checking E-mails it would be compounded.

I guess there's a point there somewhere. Comparing snail mail and email. I know that email to CA can be tough.
