I inquired about plating a front 914 bumper about a year ago, in San Jose.
There are only 2 shops in San Jose that do this kind of work...Faith Plating and Superior plating (off Monterey Road).
Superior had the better price by a long shot, it was $325, Faith was something like $450. I did have Superior triple chrome 12 alloy lug bolts though...only $25 for the set, and the work was 'Superior'.
You might find a cheaper shop in a less environmentally regulated area, even shipping it somewhere...like Utah or Nevada maybe.
