That said, the guy I am flying with now is a financial idiot. The local power company has a program where you can pay $150 in each month and at the end of the year they add it all up and send him in the refund. He says that this is easier than worrying about paying the high power bills during the summer, which in Phoenix can be over $200-$250 a month. So he sends them money 9 months a year that far exceeds his monthly bill and they use it interest free and send him a refund??!!!
This is as bad as the people who jump for joy when they get a refund from their taxes. Do they not realize that they let the govt use their money all year long for free???
