Here is a little trick my son gleaned from reading Malcom X's book. Leave the bathroom light on when you are gone. This former pillar of society noted that in his younger days, when he was out roaming with his crew,they passed on any house with the bathroom light on. How many people get up in the middle of the night to hit the john? Most of these brave young men don't want to hit a house where anyone is home, much less awake. Kind of too late for you, but something to keep in mind. Sorry to hear about this.
