The OEM '76 911 mirror mounts are designed to be attached with an adhesive pad (likely die cut from double-sided adhesive foam tape or sheet). The lack of a separate mounting button and the fact that the mirror attachment foot has a formed recess for the adhesive pad makes using the standard cyanoacrylate adhesive from the auto parts store problematic. The correct part number for the adhesive pad from Pelican is A-731-133-20; cost is $3.50 or possibly make one out of foam mounting tape. Remove the mirror by carefully slipping a razor blade under the foot and cutting the existing adhesive pad.
