I'll start by sayiung intuitively the triangulated truss seems better
but every finite element analysis that I have seen shows that a strut brace as used on a 911/964/993 front is in tension only, add to that the fact the
factory only used simple tower to tower bars and I have to come down on the side of horizontal bar only.
