Yep, I went through this a few years back. Plan on changing to a Bosch as the Marelli is now no longer serviceable... Buying everyone else's will just see you with a collection of unserviceable Marellis....
Rather than spend big on a new Bosch, just acquire a 2.7, remove the vacuum retard unit, and have it turned down to the Marelli dimensions by a competent machinist. Then add your Crane unit. My total cost for this (not including the Crane) was $250 including having the dizzy regraphed for my motor.
