When we bought our 1987 930 seven years ago we were shown and told how to shift it, not "speed shifting" like I used to do with my 1969 Z28. The 930 transmission was not designed to be able to speed shift as the Turbo engine had so much power 934s/935s would out run most anything on wheels for 24 hours so the drivers just wound it up and shifted easily.
