The 1.8s don't use part of the relay board. However, the heater blower needs to have a relay (and the associated fuse), so even they can't get away with no relays and have
everything functioning...
The other relay that the L-jet crew may need is the rear window defroster relay. But that only works if you have the rest of the stuff...
L-jet EFI should have one wire plugged into the T-4 (four-pin) connector at the left-rear of the relay board. (Pin #2 or #4.)
