The switch union/adaptor fitting that goes into the case should have been put in place with red loctite. The switch should definitely come free before the adaptor fitting loosens.
But you never know. I would have simply put on a new seal washer and snugged down the fitting if I didn't have the Carrera repair manual microfiche to refer to when I did mine this winter.
