Turbo guys: Air Filter placement?
I'm thinking of just fitting an air filter directly to the turbo's compressor and perhaps ordering a heat/weathershield protecting cover around the bottom of it, to reduce road dirt going into the filter.
Anyone on this board running a filter directly off the turbocharger?
How quickly does it actually get dirty in this location? If I were to go down this route, I'd invest in a good washable & oilable air filter.
I'd also think the air around that lower area would be much cooler than the air in/around the engine bay, right?
