The cranks seem to be up to it and from what I rember the block will be fine

the rod's are pretty well built for their time, but long

the "L" head's problem is it swings to much weight to rev high
and it's ports suck ! oh and they run HOT

I rember seeing 4th exhaust ports on modified flat motors that had been cut out of a heat riser area coming up and near the intake manifold.

side note, as a kid I've carried 428 ford cranks 302 cranks flatmotor cranks and others to my dad while he was building motors

the first porsche crank that I saw looked like a toy to me!
their "cute"
