Well the car is going away for the winter and I would like to purchase some items before spring so I can repair Power Steering in the spring. I need the hose from the Rack to the Reservoir replaced. Just before I was to put the car away it developed a leak where appears the rack wash rubbing the small hose just before connects to the rack? Do I need to replace the hose right back to the reservoir or is there a spot where it changes from rubber to steel. The parts picture sorta shows that?
Bigger problem is I need to replace the rack as it also has a small leak? There are a pile out there for sale from 240 to 1000. Anyone had any experiences with buying that can help me get the best bang for my buck? Is it better to go with a ZF??? or a aftermarket which is about 50% of the ZF? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
