Rainex Best Used Outdoors Only

Just wondering since some of you like Rainex - whether you've noticed the VERY potent fumes that emanate from the rag when using the product.

I had used the product some 15 years ago maybe 2 - 3 times total and it was interesting seeing the beeds of rain slide up the windshield. However, having attempted to use it around 4 years ago, I was shocked at how 'foul' the air became even if I held my breadth....at 10 feet away still felt nauseated by it. As Jay Leno joked a while ago, "...our hobby involves a lot of products that leaves some guys in marginal health. Hang out at car shows enough and you see it first hand."

Tell you the truth, I don't know, what the chemical ingredient is in Rainex. But my experience with it tells me that it is - FOUL - and incredibly overwhelming. Anyway, you're hearing this from a guy who enjoys getting grease in his fingernails and working on a car with all the funny smells here and there. But this is completely different.
