Andy, I installed a through the body on my 89 which should be the same as your car. Without going into details, I'll give you the simple points:
1. Remove the old bar by removing the bolts that hold it and the tie rod cover.
2. Pry the bar out of the old rubber grommets on top of the A arms.
3. Use either a hacksaw of better a sawzall with a metal cutting blade and remove the sway bar mounting bracket on the A arm.
4. The car has a embossed area that the sway bar goes through. You can see a triangular area inside of the front strut. In the center is where the one inch hole is drilled.
5. Drill the large hole in the center of this embosse.
6. Use the mounting hardware to locate and drill the holes for the bracet.
7. Use a reinforcing bracket on the inside of the car (Weltmeister) to aid in reinforcement. Pull a string from the interior of the car through the main hole and then slide this bracket internally until the holes align.
8. Bolt up brackets, slide bar through, attach droplinks.
9. Place U tab over A arm and drill hole though. Use grade 8 bolts.
10. Attach droplink

I use generic terms dependant on what brand you use. I used AJUSA, but the same applies to Welmeister. If you get to the point where you need specific question answered, let me know.
