The price might not be bad, but again, I would have it checked out. If the leak is coming from the case, who knows what else is going on.
By the way, the SC's are great cars, but if you get a really good early "E" or "S", you probably won't go to the SC. My early "E" was more fun than my 89 Carrera and it beat the pants off my friends 80SC.
Everyone has a different opinion of what they prefer handly wise, so you might very well like the SC better, but I have always gravitated to the lighter, smoother lines of the early cars. Again... only my personal opinion.
