I've ridden BMW's for long enough now that I am just used to the buttons. Although, I don't think my horn even works..or at least I know it's not going to be as effective as just holding on tight and try to avoid the trouble ahead.
Ironically, I had a chance (was asked to actually) to ride a new Harley Sport V-Rod that had similar turn signal paddles like the BMW's. There was a big difference in the way they worked which was very intuitive and so much better than the BMW's turn signals. One press on left or right turn signal paddle for turning and press again once on the same paddle to cancel. Doh...double Doh! Why the heck do we have to have a third button to cancel the turn indicator. Just press again to cancel. No need to remember anything.
BTW, that bike was very surprising. It almost handled well and the engine was very sweet. Super smooth and powerful. I wish I had that power and smoothness in a better package. Having that powerplant in a better handling chassis would be a really fun bike.
