Hey Guys,

I was down to the very last electrical connection before putting the
engine back in my car. I pulled the distributor, plugged the green wire
into the side, and as I am reinserting the distributor, I hear the
sickening "crunch" of brittle 19 year old plastic.

I munged the plug.

I am sick enough of this project at this point that I almost ignored this
problem, but sanity ultimately prevailed.

I can't find any reference to this part or its number in any of my
manuals. Is this plug/wire available from Porsche or aftermarket either
one? Does anyone have a part number for me?

Finally, what does this wire do for me and is it necessary for proper
operation of my car?
