It looks like I'm the only "no" vote so far. I'm starting to have serious reservations about this forum. I never realized I was associating with such a bunch of gun-toting rednecks. Don't you guys know those things are dangerous? Do you realize how many children die every year in gun-related accidents? I suppose you are all going to try to tell me that the Second Ammendment, which clearly states "militia", gives you some kind of individual right to own these things. Guns are best left to the state, and trained, licensed professionals that have a clear need for such obviously dangerous items. The people have no need for firearms. The state, through its official agencies, provides all the "protection" any citizen could possibly need. We can buy all of our food, in our modern society, in the supermarket, rendering hunting no more than a savage, ruthless, needless bloodsport. You all need to get with the times and give up this horrible throw back to our dark and distant past. This is the 21st century, gentlemen, you can no longer justify your stubborn clinging to some romanticized past; there is no longer any need for private citizens to own these things. Send them all to me and, I assure you, they will be properly and safely disposed of. You have my word.
