Those wires have the wrong type of plug to go to the thermovalve.
The wires that Roland is refering to are the red/wht and brn wire running from the Warm Up Regulator to the supplementary air valve on this diagram.

The supplementary air valve is on the opposite side of the engine mounted to the intake runners. It doesn't have that type of connector on it though. There is also a splice that goes to the oxy sensor relay on page 6.
