Post unknown wires ID / poor pic

is any one familiar with these wires ?? They have 'bullet' style quick connect ends (female) One is brown, the other red with white stripe. They were coiled up by the warm up regulator (about 8-10 inches slack). They originate from the large harness of wires that goes over the shroud towards the rear fuse/relay panel. The car is running fine, just found these while changing the tensioner lines and cleaning things up a bit. Sorry for the quality of the attached picture. Curiously, MAX

Hello

The cruise has white/red and brown/white.

Now, this look like a plus ( red/white is on the WUR and on the coldstart paypass valve) runing circuit.

I think the US cars had some additional FI stuff and would recomend to check in at the pelicane electric circuit pages.
Check for power on that too.

Those wires have the wrong type of plug to go to the thermovalve.

The wires that Roland is refering to are the red/wht and brn wire running from the Warm Up Regulator to the supplementary air valve on this diagram.

The supplementary air valve is on the opposite side of the engine mounted to the intake runners. It doesn't have that type of connector on it though. There is also a splice that goes to the oxy sensor relay on page 6.

thanks for the leads everyone. As the car does not have cruise control I'm thinking this is possibly the explanation for the unused wires. I'm guessing there was a connector on the ends but it went missing in action. Max.

Hello

Normaly those connectors are in a housing to protect them against shortage. You will find that housing type mostly if you follow your rear window defoger wireloom ( red/white and red/black ).
