It's difficult to tell by pictures how much room the baffle takes up. Like you said maybe it'll only mean a little modification (sacrificing some efficiency) to fit a spare. I'm not too familiar with the space saver spares but I think they use a foam insert. Maybe a switch to the space saver spare without the foam would work.

We were originally flight planned for the Grizz Two but we were switched to the Paine One when we were still with ZSE. YVR was using 12 due to winds so perhaps that was the reason for the change. It was in the first week of December.

I'll take you up on that, I'd like to hear about your projects. I'm still getting my feet wet with the 911 projects, I think my car will involve most of the stuff discussed here including welding. One of our members down here in Orange County has graciously offered the use of his welders to learn on for the cost of materials. I'm going to do some reading about welding on my trips before trying anything under supervision.
