Supertec SuperCrank

It's finally here.

This is the new SuperCrank manufactured by Marine Crank for Supertec Performance. They are 66 mm stroke, 9 bolt crankshafts that fit 3.0-3.6 Porsche cases used from 1978 through 1998. They will also fit the twin turbo and GT3 cases. 66 x 95 = 2.8SS. These cranks allow Porsche engine builders to make high RPM (9200) engines that can take advantage of proper rod length to stroke ratios. The rod journal is designed to use GT3 titanium Pankls. They are avaiable in three different rod lengths, 127.8, 130 and 138mm. The cranks are made from certified E4340AQ alloy steel (chromoly). They are triple heat-treated and ion plasma surface hardened. The lightweight design incorporates a special high speed oiling system (some simple crankcase oil flow modifications required) and no crank plugs. As you can see, the crank is cross-drilled on each main journal so that every rod is lubricated directly from the main oil transfer galley. With a state of the art flyweight design, main and rod fillets made larger (RSR style) and the crank throws hollowed, the increase strength is unmatched by any previous designs. A side benefit of the hollow crank throws is lightness. The finished product is then dynamic balanced. At this time, we only have a 66mm but any stroke can be manufactured to meet all your wildest dreams. How about a 72.4 mm stroke? Alternatively, 78 mm for that matter?
