Depending upon how aggressive you want to be, there are a number of other options out there. Try posting a wanted ad on places like the 356Registry and regional 356 websites. Check out the Porsche Club of America regional websites.

Am finding that once people get one older Porsche they become a magnet for others so networking on these other sites is always good. If someone has one in the garage then they usually have a price that they would agree to have it out of their garage.

And generally on these sites, someone always knows somebody who might know someone else who wants to sell.

Unfortunately its not a quick short term process. I've been looking for over a year now, but coming closer every day.

Also if you're looking at restoring an older one, definitely go the 356Registry way as lots of 912 parts do become available through there.
