Just an idea, I didn't look at my car.

If Im remembering correctly, you coud put a switch inside the rear body of the car, next to the latch. Using the latch on the hood as the triggering spot. It seams to me that this could work, and that it could be mounted in a way that it would be hard to see it. Just an idea...

P.S. If the bulb is on and heat is generated then yes it must make a light. Next question: If the trunk catches on fire, was the bulb on?
