HANDBRAKE SUPPORT HOUSUNG ASSEMBLY (below)

1 – Heater control lever
2 – Hand throttle lever
3 – Pressure disc (#59 Lamina above)
4 – Cup spring (#60 Belleville spring washer above)
5 – Self locking hex nut (#61 above)
6 – Pivot shaft (#52 bearing bolt above)
7 – Spacer sleeve (#51 above)
8 – Friction disc (#58 Grating disc – cork friction disc above)

Note; the friction force for each lever is adjusted with the #61 hex nuts (5 above) on each side.
a – Limiting friction force of heater lever clutch is 10kp (22 lbs).
b – Limiting friction force of hand throttle clutch is 6 kp (13 lbs).
c – Hand throttle is pressed on (avoid damage to knob).
d – Heater lever knob is screwed on.

As an aside, a 914-6 also has a hand throttle. Since it has a throttle cable
(not a rod) in the tunnel, the hand throttle uses a push rod that actuates
an extra piece on the throttle bell-crank at the pedal assembly. This
914-6-only bell-crank was also used with the (very rare) 914-6 Sportomatic.

Part 27/1 (red underline below) is the 914-6-only part 914.423.250.02
that needs to be exchanged in a 4-cylinder.
