I still prefer the Honda solution, where in case of any failure the entire ABS circuitry and plumbing is not between the brake lever and the pistons.
As far as weight, only professional racers and idiots care in my opinion. NOFI to anyone here. But the weight of ABS is such that it is more rewarding for Joe Blow to go to gym.
