From what you describe, it sounds like the Euro may be wired more like the 87 US model. Go back to the 84-89 Bentley and check to make sure. See if your relays and fuses are laid-out like the 87-89 shown on page 971-3 figure 971-2. If they are, then the window relay should be where it is shown on page 971-12 figure 971-13...

Let's check this first to see which way the car is wired. My 86 is a US model and is wired just as shown in the manual.
