Cut Off Date
Don:
The cut off date for cars in Illinois is 1967 or before. They test your car every two years so this would be my last test. In 2004 it would be exempt at 35 years old.
If I had "Antique" plates (25 years old or older) I would be exempt now but limited on where I could drive the car, to parades, car shows etc., not what I want to do.
Thanks for asking.
I took the car to the local foreign car garage to have them "fine tune" the carbs so I can pass the test. Hope to get it back tonight and take the test again tomorrow.
Wish me luck!
