If the tranny is out of the car the shift seal it is a piece of cake. IIRC, I believe the shift seal has a flange on it, carefully pry it out with a screwdriver, then install the new one by tapping in with a suitably sized drift (piece of pipe, pvc, or similar).

Thanks Andrew, sounds easy. Have you replaced the main shaft seal too? Any issues getting the old one out?
