I recently rebuilt my CV joints. The new boots come with six holes...the extra two are right over the roll pins so they shoudl not cause your leak. I would be more leary that the CV gasket got replaced (the one between the joint and the flange on the tranny). That gasket gets forgotten alot (ask me how I know) and has a habit of slinging grease all over when it is not in place.
